Bears vs Seahawks

As a die-hard Chicago Bear fan, this post is especially painful to write.

Caleb Hanie threw three of the team’s four interceptions and was sacked four times, although it looked to me as if were more. The first half wasn’t that bad with Hanie buying time with his feet, but by the second half, the Seahawks made obvious adjustments to keep the pressure on for most of the second half. He was later replaced by Josh McCown who finished 10 of 23 for 111 yards and an interception. Kahlil Bell tried but had a dismal 15 carry 65 yard day. The defensive play was not adequate enough to even keep the Bears in the game this week.

The injury bug hit the Bears again with Johnny Knox sustaining a back injury which required surgery on Monday morning. Also Chris Conte left the game with a foot injury.

All we can hope for is a little Christmas cheer on Sunday, when we play the Packers, and I know that’s a lot to ask santa for but here it goes.

You may have not intended to do so, but I think you have managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in.
