Bears coach Lovie Smith said safety Major Wright is out for Sunday’s game at Denver with a sprained shoulder.
Wright suffered the injury in last Sunday’s loss to Kansas City.

“It’s always disappointing not to be up,” Wright said. “It is what it is. Just have to make the best of it and look at the positive part of it. It could be worse. I could be out for the rest of the season. But it’s not that.”

Craig Steltz will start at strong safety in place of Wright.

Jay Cutler (thumb surgery) and Matt Forte (sprained knee) also are out for Sunday’s game.
